We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Private Equity Associate to join our dynamic team in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will support senior investment professionals in sourcing, evaluating, and managing investment opportunities. This role requires strong analytical skills, financial modeling expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct industry research and market analysis to identify potential investment opportunities.
  • Perform financial modeling and valuation analysis to assess the viability of investment targets.
  • Assist in the due diligence process, including reviewing financial statements, conducting market research, and evaluating business plans.
  • Prepare investment memos and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage portfolio companies, providing strategic and operational support as needed.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to develop and execute investment strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or a related field.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
